I hope this message finds you and your families well! We continue to be united in prayer during this time.
We are more that half way through our first full week of Home-Based Learning. The majority of the feedback coming in is positive. The teachers are working hard to try to bring the best learning experience for the students to their homes. We recognize there are some challenges. The teachers and I are in communication daily about things that seem to working and not working. If you are experiencing any difficulties with Home-Based Learning, reach out to your child(ren)'s teacher(s). All emails can be found on the school website,
www.hfsny.org under "Instructional Staff".
Remember, if you need internet access, you can get free Spectrum Wifi for 60 days (including free installation for new customers). Call 1-844-488-8395 for set up.
Recent letters from Cardinal Timothy Dolan and the Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of New York, Mr. Michael Deegan, have been posted on the home page of the school website under "News". The Cardinal addresses some real concerns the Parishes are facing at this time. Mr. Deegan's letter announces some support available to families from the Archdiocese of New York Drug Abuse Prevention Program
(ADAPP) such as mental health consultations and other programs that may be helpful to you.
Mrs. Gelpi, who serves as a guidance counselor at Holy Family School, also has a Class Page on the school website. She has posted tips to help children cope and some "mindfulness" techniques.
Also, another new page has been added to the school website. Under the tab, "Student Life" you will find, "Home-Based Learning Gallery". If students complete suggested projects on Mr. Torregrosa's Class Page, you are encouraged to take a picture and email it to him at
rtorregrosa@hfsny.org. Submitted art projects will be shared on this page and on the school Instagram as well. Search for "holyfamilyschoolbronx".

Yesterday, March 25th, the Church celebrated the Feast of the Annunciation. May the words that Gabriel spoke to Mary echo in our hearts, home, country and world, "Nothing will be impossible for God".
