Universal Pre-Kindergarten
Holy Family School is pleased to offer Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK). UPK is a FREE Pre-K program available to all New York City residents, regardless of household income. We offer full day sessions from 8:25 AM - 2:45 PM; early morning drop-off and after school care is available. Children must be four-years-old by December 31, 2017.
UPK is designed to help more children begin their education at an early age and get a solid start on the road to active learning. Instruction is based on the Prekindergarten Foundation for the Common Core. Each academic subject (literacy, math, science and social studies) has its own physical center. As they play, learn, make their own choices and socialize, children develop creative and critical thinking, as well as large and fine motor skills, through active, hands-on exploration.
